Day 1: Welcome to Medellín
Upon arrival at Medellín’s José María Córdova International Airport, our team will be waiting with a comfortable, air-conditioned van to take you directly to your hotel. The drive from the airport offers you a first taste of the bustling city as you travel through the vibrant streets of Medellín, heading towards your 5-star accommodations.
Once you’ve checked in and had some time to relax, we’ll gather for a delightful welcome dinner at Mamacita, a cozy yet upscale restaurant owned by a friend. The restaurant’s traditional Colombian menu offers a gourmet twist on classic dishes, and it’s a great spot to experience the warmth of local hospitality. From the flavors of the food to the ambiance, this dinner sets the tone for your amazing trip ahead.

Day 2: Exploring the Heart of Antioquia
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for an exciting “Tour de Oriente”, a day trip exploring the small, traditional towns surrounding Medellín. Our journey begins at 9:00 a.m., where we’ll travel in private transport for a scenic drive to El Retiro, known for its colonial architecture, artisanal workshops, and picturesque plazas. You’ll have time to stroll through the charming town before heading to La Ceja, another quaint village famous for its gorgeous mountain views and vibrant markets.
Our next stop will be San Antonio de Pereira, where we will visit the town's famous plaza filled with traditional Colombian desserts—a perfect opportunity to sample local sweets like torta de tres leches or arequipe. We’ll also explore El Carmen de Viboral, renowned for its ceramics and artisanal pottery. You’ll have the chance to watch local artisans at work and even purchase some unique, hand-crafted souvenirs.
We will stop for a delicious lunch in one of these towns (depending on our schedule). After returning to Medellín, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, with a dinner planned close to the hotel, offering the chance to reflect on the day’s experiences.

Day 3: Journey to Nuquí - Into the Heart of the Jungle
We’ll begin the day with an early breakfast at your hotel, ensuring everyone is well-rested for the adventure ahead. After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport for our flight to Nuquí, a remote tropical paradise on Colombia’s Pacific coast. The flight itself is an experience, offering views of the lush jungle and coastline below.
Upon arrival in Nuquí, we’ll board a private boat for a 45-minute ride along the winding Arusí River, crossing scenic mangroves and lush landscapes on the way to our hotel, Madreagua. This eco-lodge is nestled in the jungle, offering the perfect blend of comfort and nature.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you’ll be welcomed with a delicious traditional Colombian lunch before having some time to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, we’ll set off for a leisurely trek along the Arusí River—this is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the jungle and spot local wildlife, including a variety of bird species. As the sun sets, you can relax and enjoy a tranquil evening at the lodge, with a delicious dinner prepared for you at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 4: Whale Watching & Paddleboarding on the Pacific
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, we’ll officially kick off the day in the laid-back style of Colombian time! We’ll head out for an unforgettable whale-watching tour with expert guides arranged by the hotel. The waters around Nuquí are known for being home to humpback whales, especially during the migration season, so keep your eyes peeled for these majestic creatures as they breach and play in the water.
We’ll return to the hotel in the early afternoon for a delicious lunch before taking some downtime to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the region. If you’re up for more adventure, we’ll offer a paddleboarding session in the late afternoon or sunset—perfect for enjoying the calm waters of the Pacific and getting a different perspective of the landscape.
Dinner will be served at the hotel, where you can share stories of the day’s adventures and unwind in a serene setting.

Day 5: Exploring the Jungle and the Virgin Beach
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the day is yours to decide how to spend it. If you’re keen on another whale-watching tour, our guides are happy to accommodate and take you out once more to search for more sightings of these magnificent creatures, if you didn’t catch enough the day before.
For those looking for something new, we’ll depart for a guided jungle walk at around 9:30 a.m. The hike will take us deep into the lush rainforest, where you’ll have the chance to spot unique wildlife and plant species, accompanied by an experienced guide. This is a 6-hour adventure, with a break for a packed lunch at a beautiful, virgin beach along the way. This secluded beach is rarely visited by tourists, offering a perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of the Pacific coast. After the hike, we’ll return to the hotel for some much-needed relaxation and downtime.
Dinner will be served at the hotel, where you can unwind and enjoy a fresh, locally inspired meal, reflecting the flavors of the region.

Day 6: Underwater Exploration & Relaxation
Start the day with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, followed by a snorkeling lesson with an expert instructor. The waters around Nuquí are teeming with vibrant marine life, and the hotel’s knowledgeable guides will ensure you have the skills to safely explore the coral reefs and hidden underwater treasures of the region. The lesson is tailored for all levels, whether you’re a seasoned diver or a first-time snorkeler.
After the lesson, we’ll take a break for a leisurely lunch at the hotel, offering a selection of fresh, seasonal dishes to refuel. In the afternoon, you have a couple of options: if you're feeling adventurous, we can head out for a second snorkeling session to explore new areas of the ocean, or you can take the opportunity to relax at the hotel and enjoy the stunning surroundings.
The evening will end with a delicious dinner at the hotel, where you can share stories of your underwater adventures.

Day 7: Waterfalls, Trekking, and Your Last Day in El Pacífico
Today’s adventure will begin with a late breakfast at the hotel, giving you a chance to sleep in and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Madreagua. After breakfast, we will set off for an exciting trek to Las Peñas—a scenic path that will take us to one of the region’s most beautiful natural waterfalls.
The 3-hour trek will take us through lush jungle and along stunning coastline, offering plenty of opportunities to pause, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Once we arrive at the waterfall, you’ll have time to swim, cool off, and relax before we start our return journey. A packed lunch will be provided during the trek, allowing us to enjoy a picnic along the way, surrounded by nature.
After the trek, we’ll head back to the hotel for our final evening in the Pacific region. The rest of the day is yours to unwind, perhaps with a swim in the hotel pool or a peaceful walk along the beach. In the evening, we’ll gather for a final dinner at the hotel to celebrate the unforgettable experiences of the past week.

Day 8: Departure from Nuquí
After one last relaxed breakfast at the hotel, we’ll say goodbye to the tranquil paradise of Nuquí and head to the airport for our return flight to Medellín. Depending on your flight times, we’ll arrange transportation to the airport with plenty of time to spare, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey.
As we fly back to the city, you’ll have the chance to reflect on your unforgettable time in the jungle and on the Pacific coast. Once we land in Medellín, we will assist with any further travel plans or connections to make your trip back home as seamless as possible.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel the trip 30 days or less before the start of the trip, there will be no refund. Travel insurance may cover you for any cancellation reasons covered by your plan.
